November 2025: Against the backdrop of rising antisemitism throughout North America — and particularly across Canada — Limmud FSU Canada held a special three-day educational and community seminar from November 28–30, 2025, dedicated to reinforcing Jewish identity, strengthening communal resilience, and deepening the connection between Russian-speaking Jewish communities and the State of Israel.
The seminar took place during a period of growing hostility and emotional strain for many Jewish communities. For participants, the gathering became far more than an educational event — it offered a rare and meaningful space where Jewish and Zionist identity could be expressed openly, proudly, and without apology.
Throughout the weekend, participants took part in lectures, discussions, workshops, and communal activities centered around Jewish resilience, Holocaust remembrance, modern antisemitism, Israel engagement, and Jewish continuity. Educators, community leaders, and speakers from Israel and abroad led conversations addressing both historical memory and the contemporary challenges facing Jewish communities today.

A central message throughout the seminar was that connection to Israel represents not merely a political position, but a profound cultural, historical, and emotional source of strength — especially during times when many Jews feel increasingly isolated or vulnerable.
Beyond the formal sessions, the seminar created an atmosphere of solidarity, openness, and emotional support. Participants shared personal experiences, strengthened communal bonds, and left with a renewed sense of belonging and confidence in Jewish communal life.
As one participant reflected: “In a time when it sometimes feels dangerous to be Jewish, the seminar reminded me that I am not alone — that there is a community, a people, and a state that stands behind us.”
