Limmud FSU's International Steering Committee Meets in Jerusalem

Matthew Bronfman, Honorary Chair, Limmud FSU, heralded the overwhelming success of Limmud FSU in 2007, mentioning the outstanding Moscow Conference, the significant media attention and, most important, the excellent participation by young Jews from across the former Soviet Union. Bronfman also praised the enormous work and dedication of Chaim Chesler and Sandra Cahn in bring Limmud FSU to fruition in a difficult environment, where the notion of "volunteerism" is just beginning to be understood.

Following the meeting, Limmud FSU announced several appointments: Vadim Rabinowitz, Honorary Chair, Limmud FSU Ukraine, Yalta, October 27-30, 2008; Moshe Kantor, Chairman, Eastern European Foundation, and President, Board of Governors, European Jewish Congress and, Leonid Levine, President Byelorussian Jewish Community, as Honorary Co-Chairs, "Chagall" Limmud FSU, Minsk, Belarus, November 1-December 2, 2008; and Mark Chais, Honorary Chair, Limmud FSU in Israel, Ashkelon, September 24-27, 2008.
